Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Bale Mountains National Park

• Arrival: Arrive at Bale Mountains National Park, and transfer to the park headquarters at Dinsho.
• Activities: Briefing on the trek, visit the Dinsho Museum and take a short hike to see the endemic mountain Nyala and Menelik’s bushbuck.
• Overnight: Camping at Dinsho

Day 2: Dinsho – Sodota

• Morning: Begin trekking from Dinsho to Sodota. Trek through the scenic Gaysay Grasslands and the lush Harenna Forest.
• Afternoon: Continue trekking, with opportunities to spot wildlife such as Ethiopian wolves and various bird species.
• Trekking Distance: Approximately 20 km
• Overnight: Camping at Sodota

Day 3: Sodota – Wasema Valley

• Morning: Trek from Sodota to the Wasema Valley, passing through the scenic Web Valley.
• Afternoon: Arrive at the Wasema Valley, set up camp, and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding peaks and valleys.
• Trekking Distance: Approximately 16 km
• Overnight: Camping at Wasema Valley

Day 4: Wasema Valley – Sanetti Plateau

Day 5: Sanetti Plateau – Return to Dinsho
