We just came back from a long trip all over Ethiopia. Ethiopia is an amazing country with wonderful and beautiful people. The trip was organized by Fitretu Getachew, wchich was alsays with us along with our best guide ever, Ebrahim Ahmed Erdis. We were feeling very safe during the whole trip. I am a UK national just back from a 2 1/2 week tour of Omo and the the Bale mtns, I went with Fitretu Getachew of Open Ethiopia Tours. the guide is from the area and an absolute expert in local knowledge . I saw a number of local ceremonies including a marriage of the Sumi tribe ,stick fighting of the same tribe plus jumping the bulls by the Hamer tribe . I think I was particularly lucky as these events were just happened upon. Fitretu said that some people don't see these events as they are not timetabled.. We also met the Bana and Mursi tribes and Dasanech.
